Event Details
Cooking with the sun, printing with time is a participatory activity that connects culture, sustainable food, and artistic experimentation through a common element: the sun. During the session, participants will collectively prepare an aromatic herbal infusion from Montjuïc cooked in a solar oven while reflecting on the relationships between energy, food, and territory. Parallelly, they will develop a series of plant-based anthotypes in the form of an illustrated recipe, using photosensitive dyes made from natural ingredients such as turmeric, hibiscus, or beetroot. Through sun exposure, the passage of time, and the action of light on paper, the images will progressively appear, becoming a tangible metaphor for ecological cycles, the transformation of matter, and the circular economy. The activity will open a space for conversation on ecological transition, food sovereignty, the utilization of local resources, and the sustainability of bodies and territories, linking culinary knowledge with accessible, low-environmental-impact artistic practices.
